ELECON-STIR multi-purpose satellite system

The ELECON-STIR multipurpose satellite system is developed to solve the following tasks: to track mobile transport vehicles, including maritime vessels; to monitor a consignment integrity; and to provide telecommunications services. To control a transport vehicle by the ELECON-STIR system, an automatic radio beacon with autonomous power supply is installed. On-ground stations of the Regional Control Center defines the plane coordinates of the transport vehicle using data acquired from the radio beacon through the satellite. These data in connection with the timing scale and container´s identification (ID) are transmitted to the Traffic Control Center (TCC). Data transmitted to the TCC are organised and distributed to the appropriate sectors and directions. To check the container integrity, a radio beacon and container integrity registration sensors are installed in the container. The main customers of the system are railroad companies, truck companies and maritime companies
