Abstract :
Tchebichef discrete orthogonal moment can reconstruct image, but there are errors between the reconstructed image and the original image. In fact, the error information includes some valuable information. A new stereo matching approach based on reconstruction error image pair is proposed in this paper. Firstly, Tchebichef discrete orthogonal moments are employed to reconstruct original image in image coordinate space, after that, the reconstruction error image is computed by the difference of the reconstructed image and the original image, finally, the disparity images is computed in error image space based on correlation window matching approach. The result indicates that the reconstruction error data can be applied to stereo matching.
