Abstract
Complicate products are represented by a number of trimmed surfaces during the digitized modeling. Mesh generation of a trimmed surface is an important research subject in Computational Geometry. According to the geometric definition of a trimmed surface, numerous researchers adopt a method that generates meshes on trimmed surface by trimming meshes on non-trimmed surface. However, this approach can not be widely implemented because the meshes´ shapes on trimmed surface´s boundary are not as perfect as expected. Therefore, in order to solve the problem, this paper proposes a method called boundary rail method (BRM), which is applied to reconstructed the meshes on the trimmed surface´s boundary and obtain perfect shapes of meshes.
