Abstract :
Electronic equalizer is proposed to compensate the impairments from unsynchronized modulation and chromatic dispersion in wavelength-division-multiplexing passive-optical networks. Such equalizer in central office eliminates the need for alignment monitors in optical-network units and dispersion-compensation components.
