Abstract
This paper presents a method for network computing over the Internet called universal personal computing (UPC). An agent-based protocol architecture required to manage different mobile objects is presented. The use of personal agents to facilitate network management functions is discussed. Using this method, mobile users can access network services and personalized computing environments anywhere using any terminal
