Study and application of evaluation method for harmonious development of economy-logistics system in port cities

The optimization of economy-logistics system can create enormous economic benefit, which is a common problem in port cities. This paper puts forward a method to evaluate the harmonious status of economy-logistics system by means of factor analysis and fuzzy mathematics. Then the paper provides a case study of Dalian city. The results indicate that the harmonious development of economy-logistics system in Dalian experiences imbalances phase in the 1980s, good harmony phase from early 1990s to 2003 and the phase of decreased harmony since 2003. Based on above analysis, this paper summarizes the general law of harmonious development between logistics and economy, and provides reference for other port cities.
