Abstract
This paper presents a discussion concerning ECG signals compression using the basis pursuit (BP) approach applied for several overcomplete wavelet dictionaries. The compression is based on an ldquooptimalrdquo superposition of dictionary elements, by minimizing the l1 norm of the error. The best results have been obtained with the Coiflet 4 dictionary.
