Abstract
A dual approximation method is developed for computing the displacements in bending of a plate with transverse shear deformation, in which the domain of the dual functional does not require restrictions on its elements even in the absence of an elastic foundation. This is important in the study of materials and structures used in the manufacturing and nondestructive testing of mechanical sensors for industrial containers.
