Usually, polymer science is a compulsory course for the university student majored in science. Indeed, Polymer Science course is difficult to a certain extent to university students whose major is not Polymer Science. In this article, firstly the purpose and the importance of this course have been introduced. Then, the reasons and resolutions of this matter have been analyzed and discussed based upon the authors´ teaching experience gained during the past many years. It has been proposed that Interest is still the best teacher for university students, especially for ones whose major is not Polymer Science. In order to develop students´ interest in polymer science, authors suggest a composite of several teaching methods rather than a tedious teaching, including association of teaching with story, association of teaching with life, and association of teaching with frontier scientific research.
