Abstract :
Knowledge becomes the most important strategic resource of product creative design. Knowledge fermentation based on RP is that new creativity (knowledge) becomes a physical prototype which full of new knowledge under the control of RP(knowledge enzyme) in the environment of constitute of rapid prototype technology platform and creative design system. Knowledge fermentation model is established according to the theory of biotic fermentation. The similarity of these two kinds of fermentation is compared. The intrinsic mechanism and general regulation of knowledge activities are analysed during the course of product development based on RP. RP (knowledge enzyme) can promote efficiently the knowledge digest, convert, increase and spread during the course of knowledge fermentation through example.
