Abstract :
The basic principles and optimization strategy of Gene Handling Genetic Algorithms (GHGA) was introduced in this paper. The mathematical model of optimum design of permanent magnet synchronous motor was established, and GHGA was applied to the optimum design of the NdFeB PMSM prototype, some corresponding curves about fitness changing with the generation were deduced. As optimal results, the cost of the effective material of PMSM had decreased significantly, and good effect could be achieved while the GHGA was applied to the optimum design of motor.
