Abstract :
In this paper, an efficient method based on mode matching and circuit theory is proposed to extract the equivalent circuit parameters of a category of waveguide discontinuities. Generalized scattering parameters for the discontinuity interface are obtained by using the mode matching method, and by imposing open and short circuit for the symmetrical plane of the discontinuity region, respectively, circuit theory is then applied to obtain the equivalent circuit parameters. The efficiency is enhanced by at least 4 times compared with the method of cascading the multi-port directly
