Abstract :
To reduce building energy consumption, China developed many building energy efficiency design standards. Building energy efficiency is one part of building physics which is a compulsory course in architecture professional basis, it studies human´s reaction in the built environment of sound, light and heat and the effect of various physical factors on the environment. This article aims to provide some guidance on how to introduce computer technology such as computer simulation program--BECS2008 in teaching the course of building physics for students. It discusses some of the main problems sometimes encountered and offers a series of suggestions for avoiding them. meanwhile it concentrates on coursework integration for the building energy efficiency teaching. In conclusion, simulation software provides a great help in the teaching of building energy efficiency and can train student to be competitive in job finding.
