Abstract :
The authors show that the solutions of time-dependent difference equations represent a very general class of time-varying models for speech. Kamen´s definition of time-dependent poles is introduced. Algorithms are presented which allow the coefficients of the time-dependent difference equation to be derived from the time-dependent poles and vice-versa. Parameter estimation is briefly discussed
