Abstract :
This paper presents a broadband CMOS differential low-noise amplifier (LNA) for the 3-5GHz band of UWB applications. It uses a feedforward noise cancellation technique and a local resistive feedback to improve the input matching. Post-layout simulation shows a noise figure in a range of 2.78-3.2 dB, a maximum power gain of 17dB and a return loss greater than 10dB. the proposed design consumes 19.4mW with the output buffer under 1-V supply voltage in the 0.18μm CMOS technology.
