Abstract
Method for ranking interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers is of key duty to multicriteria decision-making. Existing ranking methods using score function and accuracy function can not give sufficient information about alternatives and will demonstrate the situation of difficult decision or wrong decision in some cases. In this paper, a deviation function, considering the variance of the hesitancy degree of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs), is presented to overcome the situation of difficult decision of existing accuracy functions to the alternatives in some cases. A method for ranking interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers is then established based on the score function, accuracy function and deviation function. Finally, an enhanced multicriteria decision-making method base on Interval-valued Intuitionistic fuzzy sets is provided and is successfully applied to decision-making of machine design schemes.
