Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

The distillation experiment is of significant importance in the course of chemical Engineering Principle, in which all kinds of knowledge is involved, such as heat and mass transfer. To enhance the creative thinking of the students, the distillation experiment was extended into an integrated design experiment in our university. A preliminary exploration on the teaching mode and experimental methods was carried out and the problems existed were summarized. And as a basic data, it will provide a reliable evidence for the experimental teaching reform.
