  • Abstract
    The channel capacity of ATM under cell misinsertion is addressed. The lower and upper bounds of the channel capacity, normalized by the cell and bit, are derived under the general distribution on the number of misinsertion cells. Two special cases, only one possible misinsertion and the infinite misinsertion with a geometric distribution, are studied. The lower and upper bounds for both of these two cases are given
