Abstract
With the development of information and communication technologies, heterogeneous convergence networks are indispensable to support more applications. However, there are many problems to implement heterogeneous convergence networks such as spectrum reallocation, power control etc. Spectrum Pooling based on cognitive radio has been considered as an innovative solution of accessing public spectrum without interfering the neighbouring communications system. This paper describes the models, mutual interference and countermeasures in a specific spectrum pooling scenario, where the licensed system is a GSM network and the rental is an OFDM based WLAN system. Simulation and analysis of the network´s performance are concluded.
