Abstract :
Six models for estimation of Kd vs. Kt or Kd vs. S/S0 using data from Guangzhou, China, were demonstrated in this study. The data set covers a period of 10 years (1995-2004). Estimated values were compared with measured values in terms of statistical error tests such as mean percentage error (MPE), mean bias error (MBE) and root mean square error (RMSE). Comparison of the estimated and measured values showed that the piecewise linear model was able to estimate daily diffuse radiation with high accuracy.
