Abstract :
This paper presents a method of multicast which is available in a new third-layer network called Vector Network by analysing and using the property of this network. This method bases on the new way of address coding, uses the characteristic of hierarchical routing architecture. We can build a Multicast Distribution Tree that is the path of multicast data packets by invoking Minimum Spanning Tree Algorithm distributedly and recursively by this method. In terms of total cost,the multicast cost will be minimum along the Multicast Distribution Tree. Additionally, a new vector address format has been designed which has a dendriform structure. The cost of multicast can be decreased greatly by using this new vector address format.
