Abstract
One of Overlay multicast research is its related topology design for the routing optimization. To improve the related robustness and scalability issues, this paper proposed a location-aided multicast routing scheme based on genetic algorithm (GARouting) to construct a region-divided topology tree for the multicast routing in overlay network. The scheme firstly accessed the geographic information of Multicast Service Nodes to build the region-divided topology structure for the routing scalability. And then GARouting selected genetic algorithm to implement the region division operation for the routing robustness. Finally the scheme applied a multicast SPT method to form a region-divided routing tree. Simulation results demonstrated that the proposed scheme indicates better routing performance in terms of robustness and scalability.
