Abstract :
In this paper, the authors design and implement an acoustic modem for UWSN, improved in the sense of performance and efficiency. The proposed modem is equipped with one transducer shared at transmitter and receiver to increase hardware efficiency. We also verify our modem by making experiments in a water tank, a pond and the ocean with various data rates at various communication distances, and observe the probability of bit error.
