  • Abstract
This paper introduces a circuit architecture for providing multimode impedance synthesis for subscriber line applications. Telephone systems that use either digital or wireless transmission to the customer premises are the primary applications of interest. The featured circuit synthesizes a frequency and mode dependent impedance to drive the load which is usually the subscriber´s analog telephone set. Some of the problems encountered in a typical telephone system, as well as the critical transmission parameters will be considered
