Abstract :
One new multi-focus image fusion algorithm based on limited neighborhood empirical mode decomposition (NLEMD) is proposed. Firstly the images are decomposed by NLEMD, and this algorithm makes full use of its adaptive feature of NLEMD and the powerful capability of achieving high-frequency data to fuse images. In different intrinsic mode functions (IMF), the pixels which have the local max energy are selected as the fusion pixel, and then the final fusion image can be achieved by reconstructing IMFs and remnants. Experimentpsilas result prove that the new algorithm has more powerful capability of achieving detail information and can get better effect than the fusion algorithm based on wavelet analysis.
