Abstract
Electronic sensors used in automotive and industrial applications have an increasing need for accuracy. To improve accuracy and reduce cost, electronic temperature compensation is often used. This paper presents a compensation algorithm that reduces die area by implementing a Pade approximant to a curve using integer arithmetic. Sensors using this algorithm have achieved better than 0.5% accuracy over a temperature range from -40 C to 130 C.
