Abstract :
This paper concerns array processing in a broadband environment. A frequency domain algorithm is proposed in which the complex weight vector Wk(k) for each FFT cell is a function of cell number k. Using prespecified frequency bands the S/N ratio of the output is optimised with respect to the undetermined variables in Wk(k). The algorithm is robust and requires far less work load than frequency domain techniques. The system is capable of steering several -50dbs broadband nulls.
