Abstract :
We present a series of recent developments leading to the implementation of spin-based information processing in solid state devices. These include the on-chip electrical generation and manipulation of coherent spin states, and the molecular wiring of semiconductor nanostructures for shuttling quantum information in hybrid electronic systems. The experiments suggest that quantum states can be controlled with high speed electrical circuits using spin-based electronics and/or photonics.
