Abstract :
With the increasing complexity of appliance usages, providing intelligent appliances and personalized configuration to facilitate the operations of appliances become an important issue. The personal configuration not only facilitates appliance usage, but also reduces the energy consuming. Constructing personal models for appliance operations is an essential element to obtain personal configuration. This study proposes an approach to obtain personal models of appliances usage using the data collected from appliance operations. In addition to provide personal configuration, the proposed approach can be used to select optimized configurations of appliances based on environment information. The advantage of the proposed approach is that the appliances can be configured automatically using personal models.
