  • Abstract
Introduces the software structure of the call control function for ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) systems. There are many systems to be developed for ATM Networks which have the call control function. So it is valuable to design the software structure of the call control function to have reusability and portability. ATM signalling capability is dynamically evolving to have multi-party, multi-connection and negotiation of connections, etc., it is important for the structure to have expandability to further signalling capability. To achieve this goal, we have separated the call control function into call control entity and signalling protocol entities. We adopted object-oriented design and programming to develop these entities. The software structure and the classes defined for call control function are explained
