Abstract
The paper discusses stabilization of uncertain plants described via transfer functions with coefficients being affine functions of interval elements by means of PI controllers. As a by-product of considerations, it is shown that Bialas criterion of stability of a convex combination of two Hurwitz polynomials implies most of the existing criteria in the literature
