Abstract
Adequacy evaluation of composite generation and transmission system can be performed in a variety of ways. In general, these techniques can be categorized as being either a Monte Carlo simulation approach or based on a contingency selection/evaluation procedure. This paper illustrates the development of an annual chronological load curve for each load bus in a composite generation and transmission system. These load curves are then utilized in composite system adequacy assessment using the analytical or contingency enumeration approach.
