Abstract
Based on the new concept of Intelligent Hybrid Electric Vehicle which integrates comprehensive safety, fuel economy and environmental protection referred to the author´s lab, by designing the plant models and vehicle controller with MATLAB/SIMULINK, this paper proposes a forward simulation platform of driving performance. First, the vehicle controller, which includes driver assistance control, energy management and plants coordinated control, is designed, then the hybrid propulsion system, electric-hydraulic brake system, vehicle dynamic system, vehicle state and environmental sensing system of IHEV is analyzed and modeled. Finally, the IHEV simulations of Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Avoidance system are implemented and analyzed. By comparing the performance with Combustion Engine Intelligent Vehicle, it shows that IHEV can achieve better performance on safety, fuel economy and environmental protection.
