Abstract
We present an algorithm for the extraction of a compact and accurate representation of the displacement field in moving image sequences. The algorithm works in two steps. First motion is estimated for contour segments assuming they move rigidly in the image plane. Thereafter the displacement field between contours is obtained by interpolation.
