Abstract :
Nanocrystalline and weakly agglomerated particles of ferromagnetic compounds La1-xSrxMnO3 with the perovskite structure have been synthesized by sol-gel technique followed by different types of mechano-chemical processing. The effect of mechano-chemical processing on the particle size has been defined from microstructural studies. Synthesized nanoparticles have been used for the development of magnetic fluids for which the effect of mechano-chemical processing on the specific loss power values has been determined.
