Abstract
In this paper, sliding mode based control and synchronization scheme is proposed for a new four-dimensional chaotic system named as modified Lorenz-Stenflo (MLS) system. By selecting Proportional-Integral (PI) switching surface appropriately, a sliding mode controller is designed. This controller guarantees the occurrence of sliding motion and achieves synchronization of MLS chaotic systems in master- slave configuration. The approach provides an alternative way of designing controller for this system as proposed in [22]. Finally, Numerical simulations are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
