Abstract
In this paper, a vector control strategy of the doubly fed induction generator using rotor EMF-oriented position sensorless scheme is proposed. Compared with the other position sensorless schemes, the proposed control method only uses the rotor voltage and current as the feedback signals, which substantially reduces the costs and enhances the reliability of the control of the generator. The finite impulse response filter (FIR) is used in the rotor EMF orientation. Simulation shows good response of the system. Experiments based on a 3 kW unit demonstrate the correctness and availability of the scheme
