Abstract :
This paper describes the problem of energy efficiency of hybrid wind and diesel generating systems with MPPT-based control algorithms supplying mineral resources exploitation sites. Possible solutions to this problem were investigated and exclusion of DC/DC-converter between DG and DC-bus as a main loses source in un-optimal regimes was suggested. The ability of generators to operate with variable speed in order to optimize fuel consumption for variable electric load is achieved through variation of DC-link voltage. Stabilization of output AC voltage is realized by means of autonomous inverter control system with space-vector pulse-width modulation.
