Abstract
In this paper, interleaved forward quasi-resonant (QR) converters with zero current switching (ZCS) are proposed. Two forward QR converters with ZCS are interleaved controlled to increase output power and also to reduce output-current ripple. The operating principle and the characteristics of the proposed converter are presented. Finally, a laboratory prototype is implemented to verify the performance of the proposed converter. The experimental results show that the switches are turned off with ZCS, the output inductor currents are balanced, and the output current ripple is reduced.
