Abstract :
An improved dual-forward converter topology with novel interleaving control is proposed. A current sensor for the primary current of transformers is shared by the interleaved forward converters. The current sensor serves the transformers alternately and the sensed current is compared with a common reference to generate PWM signal with current sharing. The PWM pulse controls the interleaved converters in parallel alternately and exact interleaving achieved, and the construction of the converter is simple with excellent noise immunity. The operating principle of the interleaved converter, the interleaving and current sharing performance influenced by parameter tolerance of the transformer and inductor are analyzed in detail. The key points of design are presented. Experimental results are given to verify the analysis
