Abstract :
IPTV has been widely used in Internet multimedia application such as ballgame live-broadcasting event, speeches and video broadcasting. By using P2P technique, we can reduce the bandwidth consumption, decrease the server loading, and make large scale video broadcasting service an inexpensive application. However, for system administrator, beside the low-cost service, they would rather like to know the current quality of service and the quality of experience of end users. Good monitoring system can help administrator to monitor the real-time condition of the service and enhance the service quality. This article proposes the design and implementation of a P2P client agent for delivering statistics of end user to the MOAM (Monitoring of Operation, Administration and Management System). By this, we are able to monitor the networking performance, player condition of end users, and measure the QoE and QoS of the IPTV service.
