Abstract :
Core doped Nd:YAG ceramic rods are employed in amplifier and oscillator setups. SBS-phase conjugating mirrors are applied to compensate for the rod´s refractive index step. Brightness enhancement of 2 is demonstrated compared to conventional rod.
