Abstract
Delta is a computer system for developing text to speech rules for any language [1]. This paper describes a set of Delta rules for English. On the basis of the input text, the English rules build a multi-level structure that represents both the high-level linguistic constituents of the utterance (e.g., morphs, syllables, and phonemes) and the low-level synthesizer parameter patterns.
