Abstract
The high density polyethylene is one of the units downstream of Olefin plant. Its main feedstock is ethylene after which with the catalyst are converted into high density polyethylene as the final product. The most important components of this plant contain reactor, centrifuge and extruder. Good performance of the centrifuge is considered an important role as determining the capacity of the unit. Hence continuous condition monitoring of this equipment will act in achieving this goal significantly. One of the problems in centrifuge equipment have been seen to modulate vibration on the medium voltage electromotor of centrifuge. Increasing of vibration due to imbalance between centrifuge components during a long time will result in cracking junction box of the electromotor. To verify this problem and remove imbalance of centrifuge components will be prevented more damages and failures of electromotor in future.
