Abstract :
State Estimation (SE) is a key Energy Management System (EMS) function, responsible for estimating the state of the power system. Power system is a quasi-static system and hence changes slowly with time. State estimation is computationally expensive and it is a vital problem for the operating engineers. This paper presents a bird´s eye view on different methodologies and developments in the area of SE, based on comprehensive survey of the available literature.
