Abstract :
In this paper, a prototype of phase shifted zero-voltage-transition (ZVT) PWM high-frequency inverter using MOSFET is presented for driving traveling ultrasonic motor. This kind of driving power adds a pair of resonant nets to the conventional full-bridge inverter to help each power switch to realize ZVT. The mechanism of resonance is evaluated and discussed on the basis of analysis and experimental results. It is proved that this kind of inverter is more suitable for driving USM
