Abstract :
The iron losses increase when induction motors were supplied by inverter. Based on separated iron losses model, an iron losses computational model considering harmonic component concerning induction motor fed by SPWM inverter was presented through harmonic analysis method. The parameters of the inverter were integrated in the model. A test bench for measuring the iron losses of induction motors was set up, and a set of no-load tests had been performed to verify the computational model. It showed that this model can be used to calculate the iron losses of induction motors fed by SPWM inverter
