Abstract
Nowadays, the daily work for most of the faculty ranges between research activities and teaching. However, transference of results between these two spheres is not often found. In this paper, an application example of a research development into a hands-on academic activity is presented. The activity is aimed to graduate students in electronic engineering. Based on the activity of a research project, two hands-on lab sessions are proposed and included in the syllabus of a power electronics course. This paper also reports learning outcomes, and the perception of the activity by students.
