Abstract :
In this paper we describe the features of ADEPT, an advanced and adaptive man-machine interface (MMI) for a thermal power plant. The main feature of the advanced interface for industrial applications is the adaptability of man-machine interaction, i.e. the capability to tailor content and form of presentation, explicitly considering user´s objectives and tasks, and the current plant state. The problem, the approach, and the solutions adopted for the application of ADEPT are described
