Abstract
This paper presents recent trends in microstrip antenna technology highlighting the bandwidth improvements, reflectarray antennas, reconfigurable antennas, electromagnetic band gap structures, frequency selective surfaces and genetic algorithm based antenna designs. Antennas developed at SAMEER, based on theses concepts are included along with measured results.
